Rathnapura called as city of gems which located in South- Western Sri Lanka.You can visit their mine workshops and experience how rare gem stones are found from the earth. Rubber is one of the main export goods in Sri Lanka. The traditional rubber growing areas of Sri Lanka is located mainly in the wet zone in Sri Lanka.Rathnapura is one of the suitableplace that provide good climate for rubber plantation. You can see large plantation of rubber estates surround the city. There can be seen well- established natural rubber industry.


Tea Plantation
City of Rathnapura is also famous for high quality, excellent flavor tea production. The scenic route takes you passing beautiful tea estates and there can be seen vast area of tea plantation estates around the city. Tea grown in this region is called low- country tea. Wholesome, cool climate in Rathnapura makes the production of high quality tea.
